Despite the current and past decade’s worth of international oenophilia; despite ever-growing wine sales and ever-more acres of ever-more countries planted in grape; despite the widely held view that alcohol is recession-proof, I predict a major setback in the wine world, including consolidations, closings and failures in the next 12 months.
